Good story, good performances and perfect comic timing! All in all, must watch.
Aside, I used to hate Kangana Ranaut, then I saw Tanu Weds Manu and I was pleasantly surprized. Now, with this movie, I've to say, she is freaking fantastic :)
I'm a sucker for detective fiction so, I love the Veronica Mars tv-series as well as the movie. But, as Devon mentions aptly, it feels just like tv-series. The stacks just aren't high enough. When finally the conflict escalated, I looked at the watch and barely 20 mins was left of the movie. All in all nice watch though.
Title doesn't suit and complex plot issues seem to have been simplified to retain the breezy feel but, its still a good movie. And, Parineeti Chopra, as usual rocks.
It's cliched no doubt but, the terrific cast with its brilliant performances makes it a really entertaining film. Watch it for laughs.
The movie is fun, even hilarious but, not as much as the original. Also, no good songs. All the hype about Madhuri's comeback and just one dance in the end. And, while her character is interesting, for the most part she just sits there and looks pretty or rather tries to look pretty. (Is it just me or is something really wrong with her face, I somehow felt her cheeks looked really odd.)
Madhuri has been under the knife recently...her cheeks and chin are a giveaway! :)
Lives up to expectations. Nearly two decades later and the characters still seem fresh & interesting.
The stars are actually for the Pussy Riot band & its members, not so much for the documentary which could have been a lot better. Great story not so well made but, hats off to the girls of Pussy Riot.
This adaptation of "Romeo & Juliet" is grandiose, over the top melodramatic, has lots of songs and yet makes for an interesting & fun watch in the true SLB (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) tradition.
The best part about SLB films though are the strong female characters and, that only gets better with this film. Supriya Pathak as "Baa", the female don, totally rocks and Deepika Padukone also does a terrific job.
