I loved this! Totally trite and predictable, but SO sweet! I loved the cast and was greatly amused with seeing how Sir Cole got used to the 21st century. Also, I liked that the people were just generally NICE. This is definitely a Christmas movie I'm going to return to in the future.

It's been ages since I read the book last, so I don't remember how closely it sticks to the plot of the book. From what I remember of it, they got the atmosphere just right though, so I really enjoyed it.

I'd expected it to be slightly more feel-good than it was - Jack looked too much like he was in shock all the time (which I guess he was...), but it was a good movie all the same. Funny and well executed.

I haven't seen this in probably close to 20 years. It still works, although it was really difficult to see Gary Sinise as a bad guy.

I spent half my time laughing and half my time thinking "I'm not sure how to process this!". I really loved it, and we immediately proceeded to watch the TV series as well.

One of my favourite movies growing up, and I still love it :)

So much love for this movie :) I know it is old and dated, I know it off by heart (including hand gestures which made Lars laugh), but it's part of my childhood and nostalgia wins :)

I cannot count how many times I've seen this by now. I know I saw it in 1990 and even then it might have been a rewatch (although I remember finding it kinda scary back then, so I think possibly not. It's still a favourite. I don't know if it would work if I saw it for the first time now, but with nostalgia added in, I love it :)

This is probably in my top 10 movies of all time.

One of my favourite sci-fi books, and fortunately one of my favourite sci-fi movies as well. I love this adaption!

One of the first Eddie Murphy movies I saw, and still one of my favourites (even if it is really starting to show its age). Great cast and hilarious plot. I'm not sure I quite understand how the American bond's exchange works though, but never mind - I get the main gist of it.

Worth waiting for ;) They managed to create a story which worked and wasn't just a "sequel for the sake of being a sequel". My favourite was still Jack-Jack - he's absolutely adorable and I loved his powers and LOVED seeing Edna's reaction to him!! Dash bugged me - he was really infuriatingly annoying at times... but actually no more so than many "real" boys that age. Lars and I guessed the twist at a very early...

I didn't really have many expectations either way when it came to this movie, but ended up really enjoying it. A great cast and I really enjoyed all the main characters. Oh, and I loved Maria and Monica, and how Monica was included when things concerned her, while still protected from unnecessary details.

Doesn't quite stand the test of time, but I still find it charming.

Having read and loved the book, I was eager to see how a movie adaption would turn out. I was pleasantly surprised. "Jack" was an amazing actor and really carried the movie. While I didn't think the time in Room was quite as powerful as in the book, I actually almost liked the time after their escape better in the movie.

Probably my least favourite of the lot. I know it had to have a bleak ending, but still.... it could have been handled better.

I was in need of some escapism watching, and this fit the bill nicely.

"Chefs do that".
