Probably my least favourite of the lot. I know it had to have a bleak ending, but still.... it could have been handled better.

I was in need of some escapism watching, and this fit the bill nicely.

"Chefs do that".

I've wanted to see this ever since I first heard about it, because I absolutely LOVED the book. Of course I was a tad worried if it could live up to my expectations, but I knew I still had to see it.

Fortunately it totally worked. It stayed extremely true to the book, and the few things left out/changed I understood the reasoning behind. All of Andy Weir's humour translated perfectly to the screen, and I got choked...

Terrifically sweet movie. If you've seen the trailer then you'll know exactly what to expect. It delivers exactly what the trailer promises, and I loved every minute of it. Very sweet, moving, funny and touching all at once. Definitely one of the best movies I've seen all year.

Rewatch 2013: Nina commented (and I agree) that Philippe's daughter's role didn't make much sense. It should either have been fleshed out...

I had absolutely no prior knowledge of this universe before watching the movie, and loved every single minute of it! I do hope there's a sequel in the works.

Always good for a laugh. I love how unseriously it takes itself, and it's one of Alan Rickman's best roles. Can't believe it's TWENTY years old already! Whatever else you might say about the movie, as a piece of satire, it is absolutely INSPIRED!

Haven't seen this in AGES and was strangely disappointed. It was actually DULL! I ended up zoning out for most of the second half.

Definitely a B-movie, but for some reason I just love it! It's fake enough that the gore doesn't get to me, and I'm fascinated by the training and comradeship. It's what "Ender's Game" would be like, if "Ender's Game" had been less sophisticated :) I'm also greatly amused by my husband's surprise that I like it as much as I do ;)

Couldn't quite live up to my expectations. Abby and Kevin annoyed me SO much, as did Erin's reaction to Kevin. So while I LOVE Jillian, that's just not enough to endear it to me.

2020: First time we saw the extended version - it's a LOT longer than the theatrical version, and had some fun added scenes.

Not my favourite Marvel movie, but I still liked it. It had some hilarious moments and had me laughing out loud often. My favourite scene was with the pizza delivery guy in the beginning. "That sounded wrong... Or did it?".

I don't get it though... Deadpool's just not ugly enough to warrant that kind of reaction from him. He could have saved himself SO MUCH anxiety if he'd just gone back to whatsherface right away....

Christian movie about the power of prayer. Not for everybody, but I absolutely ADORED it and almost felt like rewatching it immediately after finishing. Loved it, loved it, loved it! Thank you to my sister, for the recommendation!

I really liked this one! Granted, my expectations were fairly low due to all the bad reviews I'd read, but at the end of the day I found them totally unwarranted! I thought it a highly enjoyable movie with a plot that was right up my aisle. Yes, it was heavy on the world-building, but I like that in a dystopian story :)

Definitely the best movie I've seen all year, and quite possibly a top 10 best movie EVER. I absolutely adored it, even if I couldn't quite tell you why. Guess I just liked that people generally were nice to each other, that couples didn't break up and that the underdog came out on top. It's such a relief to see people who are just genuinely KIND to each other. Sandra B. is one of my favourite actors, and she...

A lovely comfort movie, even if it is desperately sad in places. I adored the relationship between Tim and his father especially. There were a few plotholes which made me subtract the last half star, but as a whole I loved it.
