Deeply disturbing, and I have no clue why I was surprised, because that's exactly how the book was too!!! But some things are okay in book form, but just so much more depressing when watched on screen,

B-Movies both of them, and totally unbelievable in places (but - unfortunately - really not in others), but for some strange reason, this type of movie is totally my jam and I really liked both of them.

An action movie of the type that comes a dime a dozen - but with a surprisingly A-list cast! I liked it well enough. Nothing special, but I wasn't expecting much anyway, so I was nicely entertained.

We FINALLY got to see this to the very end after only making it 75% through at the movies. Of course I had seen the ending a mile away, but this was never supposed to be high class viewing. And for just plain amusement it fit the bill very well.

I think I'll probably get tired of this if I watch it too often, but for now I still find it really funny.

Billed as a sequel, but it is really a remake. Sure, Michael and Jane are all grown up, but you can draw almost direct parallels between events in the first movie and events in this one (although this one is quite a bit darker). No matter. I absolutely LOVED it, and though the songs weren't as catchy as in the original (which is what made it loose the last half-star), the atmosphere was spot on and the casting...

It's been somewhere between 25-30 years since I saw this last, so I remembered absolutely nothing about it. It ages well, but is of course full of cliches. However, it struck me that Ivanhoe is a huge anti-hero with a lot less integrity than both King Richard and Robin Hood. I'm almost convinced that that went above my head as a child. It's okay... but I do prefer Robin Hood (the Errol Flynn one anyway)

Wins the award of most ridiculous product placement ever! Otherwise I enjoyed it. Very predictable, but a good enough b-movie.

Very well made! I don't know how often I'm likely to rewatch this, but I'm definitely glad that I've seen it.

I remember loving this cartoon as a kid, but unfortunately it most definitely did not stand the test of time. Very far from it, actually, and I ended up being pretty bored and amusing myself with other things while watching it. I only finished it because it was short (75min) and I got stubborn.

Loved that cartoon as a kid of maybe 6 years old.For me it did stand the test of time, although I did get bored on some parts of the movie, but that parts are for younger me.I still enjoyed the plot and characters, especially Quark and Loki :-).It is still better then many cartoons today..Ithas its weaknesses, dont get me wrong..but hey, it was made in 1986...80s cartoons had some magic in them with strong morals.

One of my friends was totally appalled that I'd never seen this movie, so when I found it on Netflix I obviously had to give it a go. I'd probably have liked it more if I'd grown up with it, but I still really enjoyed it and would love to find a Christmas movie that was as much fun as this Halloween movie. I can definitely see its appeal :)

Obviously a huge rip-off of Indiana Jones and SO over the top. It's so bad it circles all the way back to being fun (never good - too cheesy for good), but I spent most of the time watching it being utterly incredulous at how ridiculous it is!

I've been looking forward to seeing this movie ever since I first heard that it was being made. I absolutely love the book and hoped the movie could do it justice. Fortunately it could, and while it didn't blow me away the way the book did, I think that's more due to the fact that the movie couldn't offer anything more than what the book had already given. It was EXTREMELY true to the book - incredibly well made...

Cute movie, just as charming as the book. I love - and am just slightly envious of - the friendship between the four girls.

As a YA movie, it has a lot more depth than what's usually found in YA movies.

I'd forgotten how much fun this movie is! There's nothing of any substance in it, but it's just good fun. I really wish they hadn't let Sue be in a committed relationship before she met Mike though. It seemed pointless.

It might be 36 years old, but it totally stands the test of time!

Really, really funny! I laughed out loud on several occasions - especially at the very first shot fired :-D Usually I'm not too fond of Melissa McCarthy as I think she tends to go overboard on the method acting, but it really worked here and I greatly enjoyed it.
