There have been some excellent R-rated comedies in the last few years; this one is right up there with Neighbors, Spy, Jump Street and The Night Before. A perfectly cast, non-stop laugh machine. And for God's sake, don't bring grandma.

Guns and boobs n'stuff

Crowe and Gosling make a refreshingly great comedy pair as a couple of scuzzy P.I.s who stumble into danger while investigating the death of a porn star. Full of granny's peach tea

Director Zack Snyder can always be counted on for great visuals and action sequences. He mostly delivers in this regard, especially in Batman scenes. Ben Affleck is terrific as the dark knight, and I am anxious to see him in future installments. Silent but deadly

What seems at first to be an ordinary home invasion flick quickly turns into one of the most compelling thrillers I've seen in a long time.
