Scarlet Johansson gives a steady, solid performance as an alien trying to understand humans, while at the same time preying on them. There is so little dialogue in this movie, the viewer is forced to interpret what is going on mostly by long introspective shots and subtle cues by the actors.
I'm not going to go into critiques of the directorial style and stylistic choices. Not something I'd miss if I never saw them again, but I can appreciate what went into them. I can also see why most people would hate to have to sit through all this, as well. But variety is the spice of life. I guess?
I know this review is scant on specifics and details; but so is the movie. So...yeah.
